For our operations in Lomé/Togo, we are looking for an
Development Worker (m/f/d) for communication in the health sector
Field of activity
The project Health System Strengthening – Reproductive Health and Sexual Rights in Togo (ProSanté) supports the Togolese Ministry of Health in the improvement of quality and access to health services, strengthening of its governance and pandemic preparedness. The project team works from Lomé and Kara and will expand to an additional region in 2022. The work will be split between the main office of the project in Lomé and the dedicated team of the Health Promotion Division, the unit of the Ministry of health in charge of the elaboration, coordination and monitoring of the national policy on communication and communication plans in Lomé.
Your tasks
- Elaboration and creation of communication and information material, marketing and social media content
- Creation of graphics and other design products for (digital) communication
- Support in the implementation of all communication strategies developed in collaboration with partners
- Technical support in the elaboration, implementation and monitoring of activities of the Division
- Technical support in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of message strategies on health promotion
- Improving and supporting the internal communication chains and procedures of the Divison
Your profile
- University degree in the fields of public relations, journalism, communication (focus on health), marketing, graphic design or a similar course of study
- First professional work experiencs in the fields of public relations, journalism, communication consulting or marketing or similar
- First experiences in producing and editing written and multimedia digital content for different target groups
- Confident in dealing with text, images, video, graphics as well as with the corresponding production systems
- Ability to familiarize quickly and comprehensively with new topics, carry out and deliver multiple tasks, able to prioritize and reliably achieve objectives fulfilling tight deadlines
- Familiarity with topics of international cooperation or development cooperation, experience in developing countries, especially Francophone Africa, is an advantage
- Fluency in French and good knowledge in English or German
