Kühne Logistics University–Wissenschaftliche Hochschule für Logistik und Unternehmensführung is a private university founded in 2010 and located in Hamburg's HafenCity. KLU is a state-recognized university with the right to grant PhDs. With its AACSB accreditation, it ranks among the top 5% of business schools and management universities worldwide, with a dedicated focus on logistics, operations, and supply chain management. Following an internationalization strategy, we are now opening a campus in Vietnam and plan for two further campuses in Africa and the Americas.

The position is limited to two years with the option of becoming permanent and is part-time (50%, 20 hours per week).

To support our communications team, we are looking for a Communications Manager – Editorial & Media Relations (gn*) in Hamburg as soon as possible on a part-time basis (20 hours/week).

You will shape KLU's communications across all relevant external and internal channels at a leading international business school with campuses in Hamburg, Saigon/Vietnam, and soon also Africa and Latin America. You will work closely with colleagues from administration and research and be part of a small international team that supports and represents each other.

• Press and media relations: identifying topics, story pitches, press releases, maintaining contacts with journalists and the media, placing content in our target media
• Strategic and operational support for the external positioning of the KLU president (podcasts, interviews, events, guest contributions, thought leadership)
• Establishing and maintaining internal communication (intranet, etc.)
• Producing content (text, images, audio) for our communication channels (e.g., newsroom, blogs, newsletters)
• Advising university members on communication issues
• Coordinating external service providers
• Willingness to occasionally provide editorial support for evening and weekend events

• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in communications, editing, PR, journalism, or comparable fields
• Talent for writing, excellent command of language, and excellent English and German skills
• Strong editorial judgment and a keen sense for topics, tones, and target groups
• Enjoyment of press relations and actively positioning people and topics; desirable: network of relevant media contacts
• Confident manner, proactive approach, and a high degree of ownership and hands-on mentality
• Desire for trusting teamwork, including mutual representation in projects and formats
